The construction and engineering industries play a vital role in australia's economy, employing millions of people and contributing significantly to the country's gross domestic product.

From the towering skyscrapers of Sydney and Melbourne to the vast mining operations of Western Australia and Queensland, these industries are responsible for some of the country's most impressive and vital infrastructure projects. Yet despite being two of Australia's largest and most highly skilled industries, construction and engineering remains male-dominated in 2023. And this underrepresentation of women means both industries are missing out on the opportunity to employ half of the working population.
