Like many projects of this size, it has its challenges, so by no means a walk in the park but there is an excellent and committed team on board and the Construction Director
is key in driving the delivery.
This is an interstate project and would require working Monday - Friday outside of Melbourne. Company will cover all flights and accommodation (private house). Available to relocate full-time as well, housing suitable for families and all bills & utilities covered
The role
As the Construction Director
you will be directly involved in ensuring the safe safe and successful delivery works associated with this major project. This role suits someone who has operated as a Project Director for principal contractor on $2bn+ projects or similarly a Construction Director who is capable to step up
You will lead the project in terms of construction, transport, logistics, plant & equipment, reporting to the Project Director, and leading a large team on several different work fronts - you will have several Construction Directors reporting to you, all managing scopes of works of around $1bn - so it's a chunky set of works!
You will bring a background in senior construction roles and comfortable managing multi-billion projects
The requirements
- MSc or MEng in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- 15+ years experience in major projects
- Specific skills in the delivery and construction of major construction projects (>$700m) with high levels complexity
- Experience in high risks projects (underground, tunneling, energy, O&G etc) is highly regarded
- Effective communication, ability to influence and challenge
