About the Role:
Our client, a leading corporate firm, is seeking an accomplished Director to take on a senior leadership role within their Power Systems Engineering team. This unique opportunity offers the chance to manage a diverse, high-visibility portfolio of projects with a team of 30 experts, guiding innovative solutions across power generation, transmission, distribution, and industrial HV sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
- Managing and delivering high-complexity projects across power systems planning, modelling, and analysis.
- Oversee feasibility studies, network impact assessments, and transmission line ratings for generation connection projects in the NEM, WEM, NWIS, and renewable energy sectors.
- Drive innovation, utilizing cutting-edge AI tools and modelling software (DIgSILENT, ETAP, PSS/E, PSCAD) to deliver high-quality, sustainable solutions.
- Provide strategic advice and technical leadership, presenting complex studies and findings to senior executives and industry forums.
- Contribute to business development, identifying new opportunities to expand the company’s footprint in the energy and utilities market.
- 15+ years of experience in power systems modelling, with significant exposure to renewable energy, BESS, and transmission/distribution systems.
- Expertise in dynamic modelling, generator and network behavior, and quality-of-supply matters, with proficiency in industry-standard software (DIgSILENT, ETAP, PSS/E, PSCAD).
- Proven leadership experience, having led cross-functional teams to successfully deliver complex engineering projects.
- A Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent, with accreditation from a recognized engineering institute.
- Strong client management skills
