About the company:
You'll be working for a tier 2 electrical contractor in the Inner-West, who specialise in projects rising up to $20m in the commercial new build, fit out, and school and aged care space.
They are looking for an experienced estimator with several years of experience under their belt, who could confidently complete electrical tenders autonomously and drive company growth .
What your day looks like:
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for electrical systems in construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Develop competitive bid proposals, ensuring compliance with project specifications, timelines, and budgetary requirements.
- Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and other documents to determine project scope and requirements.
- Obtain quotes from suppliers and subcontractors, negotiating pricing to ensure cost-effectiveness while maintaining quality standards.
- Identify potential project risks and incorporate contingencies into estimates to account for variables or unforeseen challenges.
- 5+ years electrical construction estimating experience in Australia
- Expertise in commercial new build, fit out, schools and aged care projects
- Ideally have an electrical trade background with solid understanding of how electrical systems are installed on site
- Experience with Espro or ConEst plus GroundPlan would be highly beneficial
- A detail-oriented HVAC Estimator with the expertise to deliver accurate, thorough estimates independently
