Design & Build Recruitment is looking for a Junior to Intermediate Estimator to join one of our national clients in their Queensland office based in Coopers Plains.
Our client is a leading subcontractor working closely with Tier 1 head contractors on major commercial construction and civil infrastructure projects. Their expertise and reputation have made them a trusted partner in delivering high-quality products on projects across Southeast Queensland.
The Role
As a Junior to Intermediate Estimator, after some training and ongoing support, you will be responsible for;
- - preparing basic cost estimates
- - liaising with suppliers
- - assisting with tenders for large-scale projects
- - You will work closely with the experienced team, gaining exposure to high-profile projects and career growth opportunities.
- - Prepare and review basic cost estimates for commercial and civil infrastructure projects
- - Interpret project specifications, drawings, and tender documents
- - Source competitive quotes from your supply chain
- - Assist in developing tenders and bid submissions
- - Bluebeam markups
- - Maintain and update cost databases and estimation tools
- - Commercial construction or civil infrastructure background
- - 2+ years of estimating experience
- - Strong knowledge of construction methodologies and materials
- - Proficiency in estimation software (e.g. Bluebeam, Buildsoft, Cubit, CostX, or similar)
- - Ability to work independently and in a team environment
