Factory Foreman

The Role: 
As the company looks to expand their team for the new year, a position for a factory foreman has become available. 
In this role, you will:

• Assist in managing a team of cabinet makers, apprentices, and other workshop staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Help to plan and coordinate daily production schedules to meet deadlines
• Maintain quality assurance, monitor and ensure all products meet the company’s quality standards
• Enforce workplace safety procedures and ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
• Mentor and support team members, providing training to enhance skills and maintain industry best practices.
• Address and resolve production challenges, minimizing downtime and maintaining workflow continuity.
• Report to the director on production progress, issues, and solutions 

• Proven experience in cabinet making, with a strong understanding of production techniques, materials, and finishes.
• Leadership experience in a cabinet factory desirable but not essential
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Hands-on problem-solving abilities with a focus on pro-active measures and continuous improvement.
• Knowledge of safety standards and regulations in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate a team.
