The Role:
As the company looks to expand their team for the new year, a position for a factory foreman has become available.
In this role, you will:
- Assist in managing a team of cabinet makers, apprentices, and other workshop staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Help to plan and coordinate daily production schedules to meet deadlines
- Maintain quality assurance, monitor and ensure all products meet the company’s quality standards
- Enforce workplace safety procedures and ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
- Mentor and support team members, providing training to enhance skills and maintain industry best practices.
- Address and resolve production challenges, minimizing downtime and maintaining workflow continuity.
- Report to the director on production progress, issues, and solutions
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven experience in cabinet making, with a strong understanding of production techniques, materials, and finishes.
- Leadership experience in a cabinet factory desirable but not essential
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Hands-on problem-solving abilities with a focus on pro-active measures and continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulations in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate a team.
