Design & Build Recruitment is seeking a skilled Grid Connection Engineer
to work closely with the power system team and manage the connection process for this OEMs connection projects.
The Grid Connection Engineer role is perfect for someone eager to deepen their expertise in the grid connection process while being part of a collaborative and supportive team as you will play a key part in managing grid connection activities, working with key stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

- Support the team in managing the AEMO and NSP grid connection processes for large-scale renewable energy projects.
- Assist with the development and submission of Connection Applications, ensuring compliance with AEMO and NSP requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including project managers and developers, to meet grid connection requirements and timelines.
- Provide technical input on grid connection design and ensure project milestones are met.
- Support the team in maintaining communications with external stakeholders such as AEMO, network service providers, regulatory bodies, and consultants throughout the grid connection process.
- Help resolve grid connection issues that may arise during project execution.
- 3+ years of experience in power system studies and/or grid connection engineering, ideally within the National Electricity Market (NEM), with solar farm and battery energy storage systems (BESS) experience being highly valued.
- Familiarity with AEMO grid connection processes, regulatory frameworks, and experience with tools like PSSE, PSCAD, or PowerFactory.
- Ability to effectively assist in navigating grid connection challenges and support smooth project execution.
- Strong ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and maintain effective communication throughout the grid connection process.
