Key Responsibilities:
- As the Maintenance Fitter you will conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on food processing and packaging machinery.
- This Maintenance Fitter will troubleshoot and repair mechanical faults promptly to minimize production downtime.
- The Maintenance Fitter will perform routine inspections and routine maintenance tasks on equipment.
- This Maintenance Fitter will ensure all machinery operates efficiently, meeting production targets and safety standards.
- The Maintenance Fitter will maintain detailed maintenance logs, ensuring all records are up to date and accurate.
- as the Maintenance Fitter you will participate in emergency breakdown repairs, working quickly to resolve issues and prevent production delays.
- Collaborate closely with the Maintenance Fitter and production team to maintain smooth and continuous operations.
- This Maintenance Fitter will identify and implement improvements to equipment to enhance performance and reliability.
- As a Maintenance Fitter you'll follow strict health and safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
- This Maintenance Fitter will assist in the installation, commissioning, and modification of machinery when required.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Fitter in an FMCG, food manufacturing, or similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of food processing and packaging machinery.
- Excellent mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle emergency breakdown situations.
- Ability to work the afternoon shift (2:00 PM - 10:00 PM).
- Trade qualification in Fitting or Mechanical Engineering(or equivalent).
- Demonstrated focus on safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving and maintenance activities.
