They are now looking to expand their team with a skilled and experienced Maintenance Fitter to join their operations on the night shift.

Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our client's maintenance team. This full-time, permanent position is based on the night shift and will be crucial to ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of food processing and packaging machinery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical maintenance, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a passion for working within the FMCG sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• As a Maintenance Fitter you will perform routine and preventative maintenance on food processing and packaging machinery.
• This Maintenance Fitter will troubleshoot and repair mechanical faults in production equipment.
• As the Maintenance Fitter you will ensure all machinery is running efficiently to meet production targets and quality standards.
• The Maintenance Fitter will conduct machine inspections and identify areas for improvement or required maintenance.
• As the Maintenance Fitter you'll respond to emergency breakdowns and carry out repairs to minimize production downtime.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and logs.
• This Maintenance Fitter will adhere to all safety procedures and industry regulations, ensuring a safe working environment.
• As the Maintenance Fitter you will work closely with the production team to ensure continuous and smooth operation.
• Assist in machine installations and modifications as required with other Maintenance Fitters.
• As a Maintenance Fitter you will participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machine performance and reduce downtime.

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Fitter, preferably within an FMCG or food manufacturing environment.
• Solid understanding of food processing and packaging machinery.
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to work night shifts (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
• Trade qualification in Fitting or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
