About the company:
Our client is a leading multinational Cost Consultancy and Project Management company delivering specialist services into the infrastructure and energy sector in Australia. As they look to expand the Sydney Team, they are looking an experienced Quantity Surveyor/ Cost Consultant with
a minimum of 5 years experience with the potential to take the next step up to Associate level.
What your day looks like:
- Develop detailed cost plans and estimates for major infrastructure and renewable energy projects, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project budgets.
- Manage contract negotiations, procurement strategies, and variations to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks while optimizing value engineering opportunities to enhance project efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and project teams to provide expert cost advice, reporting, and financial oversight throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare detailed cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and financial analyses to support project decision-making and ensure cost control.
- A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- MRICS prefered.
- Pre contract and post contract deliverable experience.
- A minimum 5+ years of experience, ideally within infrastructure (rail & water experience preferred) & energy (power infrastructure)
- Experience covering M&E packages
- Ability to grow in the team and have ambitions to achieve Associate level.
