A leading custom high end home builder is looking for a Senior Estimator to join the business and take control of all tenders and client relations on projects valued up to $20mn
All projects are one-of-a-kind and highly detailed, offering the successful candidate the opportunity to work across a variety of new homes and build relationships with many new clients. Backed by an established brand and sought after Builder/Director, it will be a long-term and stable role for a candidate who wants to make a strong impact on the North Coast
Reporting to the Director of the business your duties will include:
- Preparation of initial estimating assessment of tenders
- Perform trade break ups of documentation, appropriate trade subcontractor selection lists, and liaise with subcontractors to ensure they have a full understanding of the required scope of works and programme
- Final preparation and presentation of rated and coded Bill of Quantities and/or cost plan for internal review and issuing appropriate information to stakeholders
- Comparison and analysis of subcontractor pricing
- Regular meetings with subcontractors throughout the tender period to ensure the most competitive pricing and accurate bids
- 5+ years from within a commercial or residential builder
- Experience Estimating architecturally designed projects $5M +
- Proactive problem solver but also able to ask for help where needed
