Design & Build are currently seeking an intermediate-level Traffic Engineer to join an award-winning, multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy located in Melbourne’s CBD.
The Role:
As a Traffic Engineer, you will play a key role in designing traffic systems for major building projects across Melbourne. You will be responsible for delivering traffic solutions for some of the most exciting and high-profile developments in the city. This includes working on complex and challenging civil engineering projects, with a focus on ensuring safe and efficient transportation systems for both vehicles and pedestrians.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with a range of multidisciplinary teams, from civil engineers to urban planners, ensuring seamless integration of traffic systems into broader project designs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop traffic systems for major building projects.
- Prepare traffic impact assessments, transport studies, and other relevant technical documentation.
- Work closely with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery.
- Provide technical advice and recommendations to support project goals and objectives.
- 3+ years local experience in traffic engineering in a consultancy environment.
- A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience with building projects is preferable, but not essential.
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of traffic modelling software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
