WHS Manager
Our client is a leading manufacturer in the production of retail meat, renowned for their commitment to quality and safety. They are dedicated to fostering a safe and healthy work environment for our employees, contractors, and visitors.
The client seeking an experienced WHS Manager to play a pivotal role in overseeing and embedding the Safety Management System based out of their Osborne Park warehouse. This role will be crucial in promoting a positive safety culture and ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Champion a positive Safety and Wellbeing culture.
- Develop and implement WHS policies, guidelines, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with WHS policies and procedures.
- Enhance process safety culture and manage significant WHS risks.
- Conduct daily HSE inspections and manage timely incident investigations.
- Oversee accident and injury reporting systems and Workers Compensation management.
- Manage workplace injuries through effective rehabilitation and return-to-work processes.
- Develop annual training plans in consultation with managers and the HR & Training Coordinator.
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role within an FMCG environment.
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and people leadership skills.
- Experience in the Meat industry.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
